Help & support

Can't find an answer? Email support@calmhandoff.com. A person reads every message, usually within one business day. Please don't include your password.

If you or your children are in danger, call 911. For domestic violence support, call the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-7233.

How do I invite my co-parent?
Open Invite (or Settings → Co-parent) and send the link by email or copy it. They join free on every plan.
Who pays, and what does it cost?
One subscription covers both parents. The Free plan never ends. Family and Family Pro are prepaid for 6 or 12 months. See Pricing. You can turn off renewal anytime in Plan & billing, and your co-parent can take over the plan before it ends.
Can a message be edited or deleted?
No. Messages and changes are part of a permanent family record so both parents can rely on it. Think before you send; Family Pro's tone check can help.
How do I get a copy of our records for my lawyer?
Go to Records and create a verified export. Anyone can confirm it wasn't changed at calmhandoff.com/verify. In the app, use Print to print it or save it as a PDF.
Calls don't connect
Both parents need to turn on the call type (audio or video) under Calls. Allow camera and microphone access for CalmHandoff in your phone's settings. On very restrictive networks the call switches to our relay automatically; if it still fails, try mobile data instead of Wi-Fi.
I'm not getting notifications on my phone
In the app, allow notifications when asked, or turn them on in your phone's Settings → Notifications → CalmHandoff. Notifications never show what a message says.
I forgot my password
Use Forgot password on the login page. The reset link is emailed to you and signs you out of other devices.
How do I delete my account?
Settings → Delete my account. Here's what is deleted and what is kept.
Is CalmHandoff legal advice? Will a court accept our records?
We're not a law firm and can't promise how a court will treat records. Ask your attorney. Verification shows records weren't changed after they were written.
