Recorded calls are transcribed automatically. The transcript appears on the call's page a few minutes after the call ends.
When there's no transcript
- The call was never answered. Recording starts only once both parents are connected, so a declined or missed call has no recording and no transcript.
- Nobody spoke, or the audio was too poor to make out.
- Transcription is switched off on the server — the call page says so plainly.
A transcript is a machine's best reading of the audio. It will get names and crosstalk wrong. The recording is the record; the transcript is a way to find your way around it.
