Tap Search at the top of Messages.
Searching
Type any words. Partial words work — "dent" finds "dentist". Several words means all of them: "spring break" finds messages containing both.
Narrowing it down
Open Filters to add:
- From — only your messages, or only your co-parent's
- Dates — everything between two days
- Has an attachment — the receipt you know they sent
- Tone — messages Message Shield flagged, for the ones that mattered
- Order — newest or oldest first
Active filters are named next to the word Filters, so you always know what you're looking at.
Getting back to the conversation
Tapping a result opens the thread at that message and marks it, with everything said around it — usually the part you actually needed. Back to newest returns you to the bottom.
Above the thread, the month rail jumps straight to any month.
The tone filter only covers messages Message Shield has analysed, so it can't claim to find every heated message ever sent.
