Changing your email, name or time zone

Keeping your details right, and why the time zone matters more than you'd think.

Settings → Profile for your name, Settings → Email for your address. Changing your address requires confirming the new one, the same as signing up.

Time zone

The family time zone decides what "Friday at 6pm" means. If it's wrong, every handoff, event and reminder is wrong by the same amount, and both of you will be certain the other misread it.

Set the time zone to where the children are. If you and your co-parent live in different zones, that's the one that keeps handoffs sane.
