Settings → Your records and account → Delete my account. What's deleted and what's kept explains it in full.
This is permanent. Export anything you might want first — once it's gone we can't restore it, including for a court.
Your co-parent's record
Your co-parent keeps their copy of the shared history. A conversation had two people in it, and one of them can't erase the other's record of it. Your personal details are removed.
Before you delete
- Create a verified export if there's any chance you'll need the history.
- If you pay for the family, sort billing out first — see If your co-parent was paying.
